Red Fort Blast Twist: Doctor Turns Fugitive Days Before Deadly Attack!

🏰 Red Fort Blast: Fugitive Doctor Went Underground Days Before Deadly Attack, Massive Crackdown in J&K

Pulwama Doctor Under Lens

Just three days before the horrific Red Fort suicide blast in Delhi that claimed 13 lives and injured many, Dr. Umar Nabi, a 33-year-old doctor from Koyal village in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, reportedly switched off his phone and vanished. His family said they were unable to contact him, raising serious suspicions about his disappearance.

Police Crackdown Intensifies

According to police sources, Dr. Umar went into hiding after learning that authorities were closing in on him following the arrest of two other doctors — Dr. Adil and Dr. Muzamil. Their interrogation led investigators to a massive cache of 2,900 kg of explosive material, including ammonium nitrate, recovered from Faridabad, Haryana, NDTV reported. Dr. Umar is believed to be linked to the same terror network.

Family Detained for DNA Tests

In Pulwama, police launched a major operation, searching Dr. Umar’s house and detaining his mother and two brothers for questioning. DNA samples of his mother have been taken to match with remains of the suicide bomber, while his father was also detained on Tuesday for testing.

Expanding Investigation Network

The crackdown has widened further — police have taken Dr. Sajad, a friend and colleague of Dr. Umar at Al-Falah University, into custody. Two more suspects, Amir and Umar Rashid from Samboora village, have also been detained. Amir, a plumber, is seen as a key suspect after a photograph surfaced showing him near a car allegedly used in the terror plot. However, his family insists he is innocent and has never left Jammu and Kashmir.

Terror Links Under Probe

The arrests and recoveries stem from an investigation that began on October 19, when Jaish-e-Mohammed posters appeared in Nowgam, Srinagar. Authorities believe the network had been actively planning a high-impact terror strike, and the ongoing manhunt continues across J&K and Delhi.
