Salman Khan Declared Terrorist by Pakistan as His Balochistan Statement Sparks Fury

Pakistan Declares Salman Khan a Terror Threat After His Balochistan Remark at Riyadh Forum

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has sparked a major controversy in Pakistan after his remarks at the ‘Joy Forum 2025’ held in Riyadh. During the event — where he appeared alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan — Salman referred to Balochistan as a separate country, a statement that infuriated the Pakistani government.

Reacting swiftly, Pakistan has officially designated Salman Khan as a “terror suspect” and placed his name under the Fourth Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (1997). This list is reserved for individuals suspected of having links to terrorism, meaning Salman’s movements can now be strictly monitored, travel within Pakistan can be restricted, and legal action may be initiated against him.

What Exactly Did Salman Say?

While talking about the global reach of Indian films, Salman said:
“If you make a Hindi film and release it here (in Saudi Arabia), it will be a superhit. Even Tamil, Telugu, or Malayalam films can earn hundreds of crores here — because people from so many countries are working here. There are people from Balochistan, from Afghanistan, from Pakistan…”

Salman’s reference to Balochistan as if it were an independent nation was taken as a direct insult by Pakistan. The statement triggered outrage among Pakistani citizens as well as the Shehbaz Sharif government — leading to the drastic step of labeling him under anti-terror laws.
