Meet Ranchi’s Real-Life “Khan Sir” — The Free Teacher Behind 140 JPSC Success Stories!

DSP Ki Pathshala: The Free Online Coaching Changing Lives in Jharkhand

From Lantern Light to Leading Light

Meet DSP Vikas Chandra Srivastava, the man behind “DSP Ki Pathshala”, an inspiring initiative offering free JPSC online coaching to underprivileged students. Once a student who struggled to study under a dim lantern, today he lights the path of success for hundreds across Jharkhand.

A Mission Born from Struggle

Vikas Chandra Srivastava knows hardship firsthand. Growing up in poverty, he prepared for the JPSC exam with limited resources and no guidance. He recalls, “There were nights when the lantern oil ran out, and I had to find light outside just to keep studying.”

Teaching After Duty Hours

Now a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), he dedicates his evenings — from 7 PM to 11 PM — to teach students online. His classes especially benefit those who can’t afford city coaching institutes.

140 Success Stories and Counting

This year alone, over 140 students from his classes have successfully cracked the JPSC exam — a remarkable achievement that fills him with pride.

Giving Back to Society

Srivastava believes education is the greatest form of service. “I teach because I love it,” he says. “Whatever you receive from society, you must give back. Teaching is my way of preparing a better future.”

Guiding the Next Generation

Using the power of social media, DSP Srivastava ensures that no student faces the struggles he once did. His message to aspirants is simple yet powerful — “Don’t complain about what you don’t have. Use whatever you do have as your weapon to succeed.”
